Dive into the innovative and acclaimed techniques of Anne Bogart's Viewpoints series with this comprehensive class designed for performers of all levels. This course offers an in-depth exploration of the Viewpoints methodology, a transformative approach to physical and spatial awareness in performance. Participants will engage with the two primary categories of Viewpoints: Time and Space. Time Viewpoints include Tempo, Duration, Kinesthetic Response, and Repetition, focusing on the dynamic and rhythmic elements of movement. Space Viewpoints cover Shape, Gesture, Architecture, Spatial Relationship, and Topography, emphasizing the physical and spatial dimensions of performance. Through practical exercises and collaborative work, this class will enhance your ability to use your body’s instincts and your mind’s awareness to create nuanced and compelling movement. By the end of the course, you will gain a profound new understanding of movement and its role in liberating the actor's creative expression. Class Teacher: Ryan Kirby Classes are held every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:20 PM from September 7th to November 9th (Except for September 14th), followed by a Talent Showcase on November 16th, where all of the 1:00 Saturday classes will show off what they have learned. Students don't have to attend all the class sessions to sign up; if they need to miss a class session, that's okay. As long as they attend the majority of the classes in the trimester, they will be able to perform at the talent showcase. $15 to book online in advance, $20 in person on the day of the class. *9th grade to adults indicates that a student must be in 9th grade or the equivalent age, or older as of the 2024-2025 school year.

Cancellation Policy and Waitlist

Students may cancel their own bookings online up to 3 hours before the class starts. If a class is fully booked, clients can join a waitlist and will be notified if a spot becomes available.
